Pros and cons of NIV - Read it/Hear it GoBible Lite - John app for iPhone and iPad

NIV - Read it/Hear it GoBible Lite - John app good for

My mom loves her GoBible, which I always thought was nice for her, but I felt like I didnt want to buy what was essentially a second MP3 player/iPod which only worked for the Bible. When GoBible for the iPhone/iPod came out, it was the perfect solution. As much as its hard for me to agree with my mom, on this its easy--the GoBible is an AWESOME way to keep the Bible in your life, whether youre on the bus, on a walk or at home. It gives you the whole Bible text AND audio so you can read-along or just listen. It also has an awesome search function so you can search for any word or phrase in the whole Bible! The only thing I didnt like about it was the price--not bad for being a "book on tape" and also all the text, but still. Now its on sale though for half off! Go get it!
taking one with another The app is good, but the notes shows not beautiful, if the notes words was too tanto
Great app. Would be great if it had different translations. As to the comment that it doesnt start up where you left off, it does have a bookmark function. So, you can bookmark where you left off and then just start there when you return.
I looked at the full version and said to myself oh my gosh its so expensive! So I searched for a demo. This app is awesome and I would recommend it to my friends but the full version is a little expensive.
I went thru the whole book of John in one evening. Looking forward to getting paid version when I have the money. Cant wait
I read through john in afew days! loved the narrators voice and speed and the way it follows along with the text. Great app! I plan on purchasing the full version even though its very pricey!!

Some bad moments

Love the audio, sleep timer, etc. However, I was very disappointed to find that when you close the app it doesnt retain the last reading, so you cannot start from where you left off. The same thing happens if you go back to the menu: no play button and you have to select a verse again, which also doesnt retain your last selection. This is basic functionality of every reader and is a deal killer for me. Please add this functionality!
As the title says it only had one chapter, John. While the speaker was quite nice to listen to I cant imagine myself replaying that one chapter over and over.
There are so many lost people in this world and clearly this app is more about a company making a buck than reaching the lost. Only included one chapter of a very long book.
